I want to make a donation but I only see product purchases available. What can I do?

Sometimes a group or organization decides to sell products to fundraise, instead of soliciting monetary donations.  This is always in an attempt to provide supporters with an item of value in exchange for their donation!  However, they will almost always include the option to provide an "Additional Donation" at the time of purchase. You will see this option on the final step of checkout before confirming your product purchase.  \

I made an additional donation, but I don't see the amount reflected on the participant's goal?

Additional, or "add-on", donations with a product purchase don't currently count toward the participant’s fundraising goal, which is stated at checkout.  However the group does receive your donation.   If you prefer, you can purchase an additional product and the participant will get credit toward their goal for the entirety of the order!

Is my donation tax deductible?  

In order for a donation-only purchase to qualify for a tax deduction, the organization you are supporting would need to verify that they are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with tax exempt status, and they would need to provide their EIN to their supporters.  In some cases, they provide this information to Gold Athletics. We are currently working on providing this information to supporters on their purchase receipts. Please reach out to us for an EIN if you would like to inquire about a specific organization!
